Cook time: 8 hours
Servings: 12
Ingredients:
- 3 lbs boneless, skinless turkey breast
- 1 packet ranch seasoning (3 Tbsp bulk ranch seasoning)
- 8 Tbsp butter (1 stick), cut into 4-5 chunks
- Slow cooker
Place all ingredients into your slow cooker. Cover, and cook on low for approximately 8 hours.
Then, use two forks to shred the turkey breast. Serve immediately with your favorite hamburger buns for sandwiches. Makes approximately 12, 4 oz. servings.
A couple of notes: On one occasion, Bryce and I added a sliced white onion to the bottom of the slow cooker. It was perfect! We came home to the smell of roasting turkey and a meal ready to enjoy, complete with caramelized onions to stir in.
Also, because it’s just the two of us, we were faced with quite a hefty amount of leftovers. In addition to enjoying a few more turkey sandwiches throughout the following week, we also reconstituted the pulled turkey into a number of different recipes. Bryce added diced onions, potatoes, and fried eggs to make a turkey hash. I stirred in some BBQ Sauce, making BBQ Pulled-Turkey Sandwiches and Nachos. The possibilities are many!
